BRINKERHOFF MISSION HOUSE
BAJA, MEXICO
If you knew Jim, you knew that mission trips were at the core of his heart. He had a deep love for traveling to places where he could serve others and share the love of Jesus.
Many of Jim's recent trips took him to the heart of Baja, where he served with Community Christian at the La Esperanza mission (which began as a men's rehab center). He played a pivotal role in several projects there including the construction of a women's rehabilitation center, a children's feeding center, homes for the unhoused, and various building initiatives at the men's rehab center.

On Jim's final trip to Mexico this past November, he had the privilege of breaking ground on a new dormitory for visiting groups at La Esperanza. Jim walked the very first steps of the excavation site, filled with excitement about how this new facility would help sustain the Gospel work in the area for years to come. He had already planned to return in June 2025 to continue work on the project.

In honor of Jim's passion for people and his deep love for Mexico, we believe it is fitting to dedicate and name this new building after him. The Jim Brinkerhoff Mexico Mission House will stand as a lasting tribute to his legacy.
